Grundfos 8010009 is a 9 Stage (13.5") Pump End for Grundfos 5S05-9 Submersible Deep Well Pump.

The Grundfos Well Pump End is made entirely of stainless steel and suitable for horizontal and vertical installation. It features 1" NPT discharge with head capacity of 270' and maximum 104F operating liquid temperature. The Pump End boasts patented stainless steel splined shaft with optimized hydraulics. The shaft stability and multiple flow channels keep small particles such as sand away from bearing surfaces. The pump end outlet includes a non-return valve to prevent back flow in the riser pipe, when the pump is stopped and ensures system pressure. Stainless steel inlet screen helps to prevent debris from clogging impellers and provides full flow performance.

The Well Pump End 8010009 is designed with 9 stages. The advantage of multistage pump end is that it provides high head relative to the flow. Grundfos Pump End is retrofitted with NBR Rubber and Valox PBT including impeller seal ring, intermediate and top bearings, check valve seat and enables handling the rigors of contaminated groundwater pumping with long-lasting reliability and without the risk of corrosion. The newest pump end utilizes 304 Series stainless steel construction for all vital components including impellers, diffuser, shaft, guide vanes, coupling and hardware. The stop ring protects the pump end in case of an up-thrust. Octagonal bearings, centrifugal pump technology and sand flush channels remove particles with the pumped water resulting in less abrasive wear.

The Well Pump End 8010009 consists of an inlet, a number of pump stages and a pump outlet. The stages are connected in series where each pump stage creates a pressure difference. The final head that a multistage pump can deliver is equal to the sum of pressure each of the stages can provide. A pump stage includes an impeller where the impeller blades transfer energy to the water in terms of a velocity and pressure increase. Each impeller is fixed to the pump shaft. A seal ring between the impeller inlet and the chamber ensures that any back flow is limited. The chamber of the pump end includes a guide vane, which leads the water to the next stage. It also converts the dynamic pressure into static pressure. In addition to guiding the water into the first impellers, the pump inlet is also the interconnector for the motor with the dimensions that conform to the NEMA standard.
