The Honeywell TrueSTEAM HM512HPIAQ Humidification System is a 12 GPD humidification system that comes with the VisionPRO IAQ Control.This whole house humidification is ideal for spaces ranging from 12,000 to 24,000 cubic ft. This Honeywell TrueSTEAM system uses 70% less water, while delivering more moisture than traditional whole house humidifiers. It also communicates with wireless outdoor sensor to control humidity.

The VisionPRO automatically controls temperature, TrueSTEAM Humidification System and other air quality equipment. It is equipped with a sensor for displaying outdoor temperature and it has a 7-day-temperature programming on its digital display. The VisionPRO also has maintenance and service reminders.

The Honeywell TrueSTEAM Humidification System works by producing its own steam independent of equipment operation so that the home gets moisture exactly when it needs it. When humidity is needed, a Honeywell TrueSTEAM Humidification control causes the heating element to heat water in the tank to a boiling point. The resulting steam flows out of the TrueSTEAM HM512HPIAQ System into the hot air supply duct of the HVAC system. Air flow from the furnace then carries moisture throughout the home. When the humidity reaches a set point the humidity call ends and the Honeywell Humidification System stops producing steam.

The TrueSTEAM HM512HPIAQ can be installed by duct mounting or remote mounting. Duct mounting is when the Honeywell TrueSTEAM Humidification System is installed directly onto the supply (hot) air duct of furnace. The steam nozzle sends steam directly from the TrueSTEAM system into duct for distribution throughout the home. Remote mounting is when the TrueSTEAM is installed some distance away from furnace supply duct. An insulated hose carries steam from the Honeywell TrueSTEAM HM512HPIAQ to a suitable location on the supply duct. Remote mounting is usually done when a suitable mounting location cannot be found on the furnace duct.
