Little Giant Grinder Pumps

Little Giant grinder pump's unique design allows it to handle all kinds of waste materials, including solid waste, gloves, diapers, pieces of clothes, small bones and many others. Once the waste inside the holding tank reaches a specific level, the pump will turn on, grind the waste into a fine slurry, and pump it to the central sewer system.
Grinder pumps can be installed indoors, such as in the basement (lowest waste collection point) or outdoor, such as the yard. If installed outdoors, the holding tank must be buried deep enough that the pump and sewage pipes are below the frost line.

Little Giant Grinder Pump vs. Sewage Pump
While the major task of a sewage pump is to discharge solids and liquid waste from a tank or basin to the sewage main, a grinder pump performs two tasks at once - it grinds the waste to eliminate pipe blockage and discharge it (slurry) to the sewage main or leach field.
While typical sewage pump is sufficient for most light-duty residential and commercial applications, a grinder pump is used in buildings where uninterrupted performance is needed and clogging could cause a major issue and subsequently result in costly repairs. Applications vary from restaurant kitchens and residential homes to food processing facilities, public restrooms in supermarkets and many, many others.
