Little Giant Jet Pumps
Little Giant Jet Pumps are non-submersible and non self-priming pumps, designed to be mounted on or above ground level and lift the water from the well through a suction pipe (which is submersed in the well). Jet pumps are common for areas with high water table as well as warmer climates and primarily used for supplying fresh water to rural homes, farms, etc.
Jet pumps are usually selected based on the depth of the well and can be divided into the following major categories:
Little Giant Shallow Well Jet Pumps – designed for wells with up to 25ft vertical distance to the pumping water level.
Little Giant Convertible Jet Pumps – designed for wells with up to 90ft vertical distance to the pumping water level, where such level fluctuates or is gradually lowering.
Deeper wells of up to 400-500ft depth would require the use of Submersible (Deep Well) Pumps.
All jet pumps are designed with a jet ejector kit, which consists of a jet nozzle and venturi, matched together to provide optimal performance.
On a typical shallow well jet pump, the jet ejector is located directly in the pump housing in front of the impeller and is non-removable.
On convertible jet pumps, the jet ejector is removable and can be either left on for shallow well applications or removed and installed in the well, below the water level, for deep well applications.
