Little Giant Sump Pumps
All Little Giant sump pumps are designed to handle large volumes of water and can be divided into 2 general categories: Manual Sump Pumps and Automatic Sump Pumps.
As the name suggests, manual sump pumps have to be turned on and off manually.
The automatic version sump pumps feature a low water level switch, either internal (diaphragm type) or external (float type), which allows the pump to turn on when the water level is high and automatically turn off once the water level reaches a certain point.
Little Giant Sump Pumps are submersible type pumps and may come with optional features such as remote float switch, hi water alarm, extended cord length, bronze body, battery backup and others. Select models, such as ES33 can also be used for waste water applications.
Little Giant 6-CIA Sump Pumps:
6-CIA series (sku# 506125, 506158 & 506168) Little Giant sump pumps are submersible, automatic, have 1/3 HP rating and come with an integral diaphragm flow switch. The 6-CIA-RFS (sku# 506171) model has a remote float switch (RFS).
Little Giant 6-CIM Sump Pumps:
6-CIM series (sku# 506274 and other selected models) are submersible, manually operated and have 1/3 HP rating.
Little Giant 8-CIA and 10-CIA Sump Pumps:
Both types are submersible, automatic and have a built-in diaphragm switch. The only major difference between the 8-CIA models (508157, 508158) and 10-CIA models (510155, 510156) is the Horse Power rating and length of the cord.
Little Giant TSW-SP Sump Pump:
This model features a non-corrosive construction, high water alarm and external indicator lights.
Little Giant ES33 series Sump Pumps:
The "ES" abbreviation in the pump model # means "Energy Saving". In comparison with 6-CIA models, the ES33 series consumes around 40% less power, which allows to save money on the heating bills.
