All Little Giant Well Pumps can be divided into the following major categories based on pump type (submersible or non-submersible), well depth and water flows required:
Little Giant Shallow Well Pumps – Non-submersible pumps for wells with up to 25ft vertical distance to the pumping water level.
Little Giant Convertible Well Pumps - Non-submersible pumps for wells with up to 90ft vertical distance to the pumping water level. Best suited for wells with gradually decreasing or fluctuating water level.
Little Giant Deep Well Pumps – Fully submersible pumps for wells with up to 400-500ft vertical distance to the pumping water level.

Sizing a well pump:
Like any other pump, a well pump is mainly selected based on water demand in GPM (Gallons Per Minute) and pressure drop (in ft of head or psi), which occurs mostly from elevating water to the desired level. Well size/diameter also should be taken into consideration. See manufacturer’s performance tables in individual product description to select a proper size Little Giant well pump.
