Tool worked great right out of the box. Great price, used a coupon code and free shipping. Wish it came with the 1" jaws. Decrimper worked great. Found a video somewhere that explained how to use.
pex tool set
I worked great for me, not happy with customer service. I Called to ask them a question about the 2 screws I know one to set the force of the crimper and the second to lock the setting , but the locking one it is not moving at all, I am going to call back and if I don't get any help I am sending it back.
Overall good product and worth the money.Any chance a 1" set of jaws could be made available for this product also?
I received the kit and proceeded to make over 30 crimps and they all were leak free. The Decrimper is useless...should have purchased the kit without this tool
PEX Crimp Tool Kit
Just started using pex and the store handled Apollo brand. Had leaks with first tool, got very disgusted, went back and got a different tool. Not as many problems but still a pain. Went online, read different reviews, settled on this product. Took it out of the box, made 4 crimps, all passed. Life is GOOD! Great product and some directions on use of tool. Would highly reccomend
I was a beginning, purchased this kit for my basement remodel, and it worked perfectly! Very impressed with the quality and price compared to what I found at my local Big Box store. Only complaint is due to the overall size of the crimper and the length of the handle, sometimes you run into difficult situations due to limited space for opening the crimper, getting it around the PEX and then having the space to fully close the handle. However, this is not at all a fault of the tool.

Everything I needed in a nice organized case. Perfect crimps right out of the box, just had to change the die. Completed my plumbing project way faster than I ever would if I was soldering the connections, with no leaks. As far as the tools, they seem pretty solid, much better than I expected for such a cheap price.
pex pipe removal
Just a note to all those who have problems getting pipe off the fitting - use pex removal tool by cutting down on pex pipe in several places and it will fall off fitting
Better than expected
I started using the crimper the moment it arrived by FedEx. I put in the 1/2 inch die and adjusted it per instructions. It made perfect crimps. I even tried to use the decrimper tool. It worked much better than I expected. Very easy to remove pex crimps. Still working on best method to remove pex tubing from fitting. Right now, the decrimper tool starts the cut on the pex while I rip the rest off with a needlenose pliers. Thanks for the free shipping.
A real bang for your dollar.
Easy to use and does the job right. Comes in a neat case and can use on a number of sizes. Very happy with the way it works.
I've only used the 1/2" crimper so far, but it works great. Comes with a "Go/No-Go" gauge. This adjustable crimper was set right on from the factory. Tried the decrimper too - does a good job of cutting the crimp ring. You've got to figure how to get the pex off the fitting yourself because it doesn't cut the pex, just the crimp ring, which is a good thing.
Good stuff but needs decrimper direction
Just tried out my kit in a test-run but struggled with the decrimper test. This tool had no directions, yet the crimper DID have directions. Thx Gia for the description on how the decrimper worked. Feels like a heavy duty quality kit I could be using the rest of my life.
First experience crimping DIY
Love the tool and it comes with everything you need. It is very easy to use as long as you follow the instructions. The decrimper can come in handy but it took me a while to figure out how to use it. You need to cut the pex pipe right above the fitting, then insert the rounded edge of the decrimper inside the fitting and cut the ring with the sharp tip.
You get so much for the buck, a crimping tool (with 4 size rings), a decrimper (which took me a while to figure out how it works, but it does the job) and a connection checker. Love the set!
