4-branch, Premium Radiant Heat Manifold Set with 1/2" PEX adapters (Supply and Return pair).
Pre-assembled, pressure tested and comes with everything shown on the picture, including 1/2" PEX manifold adapters.
SSM104 set is typical for radiant floor heating applications in areas with a total of 900 - 1100 sq. ft of space, when used together with 1/2" PEX tubing (installed 9 - 12" on centers).
Complete list of components:
(1) Supply side radiant heat manifold with (4) flow meters and (4) PEX tubing outlets - lower manifold w/ red shut-off valve.
Flow meters allow to monitor the flow of water in GPM (Gallons Per Minute) through every manifold's branch.
(1) Return side radiant heat manifold with (4) manual balancing valves and (4) PEX tubing outlets - upper manifold w/ blue shut-off valve.
Manual balancing valves allow to balance the radiant heating system and are used to regulate the flow of water through manifold's branches.
(2) 1" NPT isolation shut-off ball valves with 1/4-turn color coded handles and built-in replaceable thermometers (both F/C readings displayed).
Allow to service the system and monitor supply (incoming) and return (outgoing) water temperatures.
(1) Automatic air vent to eliminate air from the system.
Air vent are used to eliminate the air from the radiant heating system, prevent air traps and enhance overall performance.
(2) Drain/fill valves with 3/4" garden/drain hose connection and a cap.
Used to purge/fill the radiant heating system.
(2) Manifold mounting brackets with bolts.
Superior bracket design offsets the radiant heat manifolds from the wall and allows for easy access and fast installation.
(8) Compression-style adapters for 1/2" PEX tubing.

Awesome Piece of Equipment
I like the idea of being able to change mounting locations. This is almost a plug and play version of radiant heat manifolds, with all the bells and whistles.
Great product, great price
Product was well built. Easy to put together. Very versatile. I was able to cram it all in a small opening in my wall. The temperature valves are a nice addition as well as the flow indicators. They included 3/8 in fittings as they said. Worked well with my Wirsbo pex. I think I've seen these manifolds at $400 and up. This was way cheaper. I also rearranged so it would work better for me. Everything is manipulatable Depot hit me hard going from one inch to 3/4 plus i needed 90' and nipples and I had Wirsbo brass fittings(all in brass). But it worked out nice
I was very impressed when I opened the box and saw the manifold set. The quality was outstanding and everything I needed to hook it up was shipped with set. Delivery time was right on.

This product has everything needed to adjust your radiant heating system. Great price for all the features this product has.
Have not tested yet, but installation and product are great so far. Have had several shipments and one return (my fault) processes are simple and shipments arrive very quickly.
The manifold arrived well boxed, no loose parts. Well built and very easy to install. The purchase would have been even better if installation instructions would have been included.

Great manifold. I did however have an o-ring tear and have it botch my air test.
Only disadvantage is you cannot mount it upside down.
Is one of the options for the included (8) pex fittings 1/2" pex-Al-pex fittings?

1/2" PEX adapters are included by default, but we can switch them to any adapter size we carry - including 1/2" PEX-AL-PEX, at no charge. Simply leave a message at the comments box on the checkout page i.e. "Include 1/2" PEX-AL-PEX Adapters" and we'll make sure to include the right size.

I want to place an elbow between the manifold body and the shut off valve for both the inlet and outlet valves so the piping for both is from below. Is this possible? What fitting do I need to do this? I want to do this so it will fit into my wall cavity.

The only way we can suggest is to use SSM410 and SSM411 angle shut-off valves.

How much pressure can the manifold handle? I want to pressure check my system at 60 psi for my radiant in floor slab heat. I know it's overkill but I want to make sure all fittings are good.

Typical test pressure must not exceed 100 psi, so 60 psi test is acceptable.

May I put the manifold completely upside down ( my pex tubing comes from the ceiling)? Does this affect flow meters?

While the manifold can be installed upside down, the flow meters may not provide accurate readings in this position. Additionally, you would not be able to use the air vent as well (which is acceptable if you have a separate air elimination device), as it has to be installed above the PEX piping in order to work.

Am I allowed 2 Questions- In the photos the inlet and outlet valves are on the Left hand side of the manifolds - can all the plumbing be switched around to have the in/outs on the right hand side w/out turning the valves upside down as well the air eliminator devices ? And what is the difference between the stainless and the brass manifolds ?

The valves can be switched so as to be located on the right hand side, but the valve handle will be upside down. The air vent can be rotated so as to stay in vertical position - regardless of whether positioned on left or right side of the PEX manifold. Besides the manifold body material, there's no difference between the manifolds.

Received my manifold and noticed the flow indicators can be threaded in and out. Does this provide some balancing or shut off flow?

Flow meters on the manifold perform two functions: 1. Indicate flow through a given PEX manifold branch. 2. Act as a secondary shut off valve. By default, the flow meters are unscrewed about 1/4" from the metal base to allow for maximum flow through the manifold branch. When threaded in, flow meter will shut off the flow completely through this branch. If a balancing valve associated with this circuit is also closed, the whole circuit can be shut of for maintenance, repair, etc.
