1/2" PEX Rails
1/2" PEX Rails are 6.5ft long and 1-1/4" wide. They can be used with 1/2" PEX or 1/2" PEX-AL-PEX tubing in structural and non-structural slabs. Distance between tubing channels is 2" OC (On Center). Height of the rails is 1".
This type of rails features a break away pattern at every 4", allowing the installer to trim the length as needed. 4" pieces can be used to secure the U-turns of the tubing.
Q: How many Rails will I need?
A: When installed at 3ft spacing, bundle of 16 rails is sufficient for areas of approximately 250 sq. ft.
Q: How do I secure PEX Rails?
A: When securing the rails to wire mesh or rebar, use metal wire ties or nylon cable ties. When securing PEX Rails to foam board insulation, use foam board staples. If securing to the existing slab, use pneumatic masonry gun with nails and washes 3/4"-1".
