Q: What is the maximum length of 3/8" PEX pipe one can run to a plumbing fixture?
A: The answer would mainly depend on the house's inlet water pressure (or plumbing system's pressure), and the flow requirements at the fixture itself.
For example, with 1 Gallon Per Minute (GPM) flow requirements at the fixture, pressure drop in 100ft of 3/8" PEX pipe would be approx. 7 psi*, so if the system pressure is 50 psi, it is only 14% pressure drop. For 40 psi system pressure, the drop would account for 17.5%.
