Q: Which Peter Mangone Clip Gun is better suited for a radiant floor heating project - Manual or Pneumatic?
A: Most of the one-time, small to medium size projects would call for a manual RB-5 model. Cost of this model is a fraction of the price of the pneumatic one and it does not require a compressor.
Most contractors prefer the RB-6 model Peter Mangone clip gun, as it significantly reduces the installation time and labor involved.
Q: Stand-off vs. Flush-mount PEX Clips - which is better?
A: It has been reported that stand-off PEX clips are much more popular than the flush-mount type, as the earlier ones are well suited for both plumbing and radiant heating installs. Flush mount clips are not particularly well suited for radiant floor heating applications.
