 Bow OxyPex tubing is PEX-b tubing with oxygen barrier and is commonly used in radiant heating and hydronic heating applications.

 

Meets/exceeds U.S. ASTM F876/877 and Canadian CSA B137.5 standards.

Oxygen barrier (permeability) complies with DIN 4726 standard.

Also certified for use in potable (drinking) water applications. UPC listed by IAPMO.

Rressure ratings: 80 psi @ 200F, 100 psi @ 180F, 160 psi @ 73F

25 year warranty by manufacturer.

 

 

Applications:

1/2" OxyPex Tubing is commonly used in the following hydronic/radiant heating projects:

 

1. Concrete slabs (structural) - reinforced with rebar or wire mesh, typically 4-6" thick.

2. Concrete slabs (non-structural), a.k.a. "thin slabs" - gypsum or other thermal mass systems over subfloor. 

3. Under subfloor (staple-up) and above the subfloor ("sandwich", or sleeper-type) systems  - both with and without heat transfer plates.

4. Engineered floors and modular board systems. OxyPex tubing is secured by into grooved channels of the plywood or foam board subfloor panels.

5. Baseboard radiators.

 

Connection Systems & Compatibility:

Bow OxyPex Tubing can be installed using the following connection systems:

1. Crimp system (PEX crimp tool, PEX crimp fittings and copper crimp rings).

2. Clamp/Cinch system (PEX clamp tool, PEX crimp fittings and stainless steel clamps).

3. Push-Fit connection system (such as SharkBite).

4. Press type system.
