Documentation:
Technical Specifications and General Installation Recommendations Technical Specifications for PEX Tubing w/ Oxygen Barrier
3/8" PEX Tubing with Oxygen Barrier is common for thin slabs, where thickness directly represents the load on the joist system, and is usually installed in such areas of the house as kitchets and bathrooms. Due to its' greater flexibility than of the other PEX tubing sizes, it allows for closer spacing of the tubing runs, and therefore, more even heat distribution. However, its' smaller diameter limits the circuit run to 200-250ft max, depending on the application.
