Each Taco 007-ZF5-9 model Priority Zoning Circulator comes with a built-in transformer, relay and priority switch, so all the wiring is done directly to the circulator’s PC board, making it ideal for adding a zone or an indirect hot water heater.

The priority switch allows the installer to choose the zone that requires the most attention and, when activated, run only that circulator. Taco 007-ZF5-9 priority zoning circulator can be used in conjunction with other circulators or zone valves.

Will this pump an antifreeze based solution without corrosive problems to the pump and future crap in the whole system - ? The info indicates voiding the warantee if certain fluids are used ? Actually I was leaning towards one of your stainless pumps and needed a control method and I noticed this because its built in -I Need separate Controller ?

If you're using a 50/50 propylene glycol mix for purposes such as snow melting, then the pump would work. To assure that cast iron components do not corrode over time, the system has to be "closed", meaning that there should be an air eliminator in the system and no access of oxygenated (fresh) water. For example, if using PEX tubing, only use the oxygen barrier type PEX as it prevents diffusion of oxygen into the system water through the pipe walls (vs. non-barrier). As for controls, the pump has a built-in switching relay, which allows to control it using a regular 24V thermostat.
