Save money on your gas bill, save floor space too
By DIY installer (from San Jose, CA) on 10/21/2015
These units are great for reducing your monthly gas bill. This is the second one I've installed, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to eliminate having to heat a regular 40-50 gallon water heater 24/7.If you are installing one for the first time, the two suggestions I can offer are to make sure you have already met the increased gas line requirements, and to make sure you vent it properly as described in the owner manual. The T-K4 is an improvement over the older model it replaces as it is even smaller in size while outputting more GPM. We have had this unit up and running for about a week now, and it is great!

Question
By Casey V. (from Mitchgan) on 3/27/2012
We have an existing system and the heater seems to have problems when the water demand is low, the heater does not kick in and there is no heat.Is this unit set up for something like it?

Great for low use beach house
By DIY homeowner (from Oregon) on 9/16/2014
We have had this water heater (purchased from PexUniverse) in our beach house for about a year now, and are very pleased. So far, it has supplied all the hot water we need any time we want. We can easily run two showers at a time, and of course, you can take as many serially as you want. We don't seem to have the low water demand problem that the other reviewer asks about. The thing I really like about this water heater is that when we aren't there (we use the beach house about 1 wk/mo) the cost is ZERO, vs. about $30/mo. with our old tank water heater. That alone will pay for the water heater in a couple of years.
