Great for radiant floor heat
Review for: Honeywell LineVoltPRO 8000 Thermostat, Programmable, 7-day, 1H, Multi-Application (TL8100A1008)
"I was already familiar with these but I needed more than my normal supplier had available. So thank you Pex Universe.
The output on these is a simple SPDT dry relay. They are rated for low voltage or line voltage applications as long as the current is within their limits. They are battery powered for the thermostat's operation. Our use of them has the batteries lasting at least a couple of years normal service.
We like these for simple radiant floor heat installations. They have a lot of flexibility for heat only applications. They look nice and are easy to install and set up. The best feature is the pump exercise function which helps prevent off-season pump seizing. Most thermostats can't do that and the ones that I know of that can cost more. These won't work for heat/cool applications nor do they allow operating a fan as a seperate function. But within those limitations, these are a great little device. And for a Honeywell, very reasonably priced."
