Nearly silent, energy efficient, what more could you want
Installation is in a 5,000 sq ft 3-story home with a return line run from the farthest point (top floor MBR) to the basement water heater. The pump was installed at the heater to push water into the drain line fitting in the bottom of the tank. The pump is nearly silent in operation; you have to get within a foot or two to hear it at all. It also draws only 5.5 watts according to my watt meter, which is only $5 a year in SC. And it works well, we now have only a few seconds wait for hot water where before it was nearly 2 minutes.HINT - if the pump makes any noise there is air in the line. That will not only cause excessive wear on the pump but it will not circulate water, as it is stuck with a big air bubble in the pump. Purge the air out until the pump goes quiet and it will work great.
