PEX Ball Valves
(PEX x PEX)
Full Port Brass PEX Ball Valves. Feature Teflon seats and 1/4-turn steel handles. Both sides of the PEX valves have equal PEX connections. Can be used with all types of ASTM F876/877 PEX tubing - PEX-A, B or C. Compatible with PEX Crimp, Clamp (Cinch) and Press connection methods.
Lead-Free Compliance: only PEX ball valves marked as Lead-Free are certified to NSF/ANSI 372 lead-free standard, are in compliance with the SDWA (effective January 1st, 2014) and are approved for drinking water applications. Regular (non lead-free) brass valves can be used only for non-potable applications, including heating, irrigation, etc.
The ends of the PEX ball valves are the same as any ASTM F1807/F2159 crimp style PEX fittings (brass or poly) and are connected to the PEX tubing in the same manner.
PEX ball valve is used to shut off the water flow through a PEX pipe. Like any other ball valve type, it is not intended for precision flow control and balancing. Most typical application include shutting off the flow to plumbing fixtures, radiant heat PEX loops, water heaters, boilers, garden faucets and many others.
