Do pex crimp rings work with Pex A (Uponor). I used a spare stick of Pex A. Somebody said type A could only be used with the expander tool. TRUE/FALSE

The short answer is: PEX crimp rings are compatible with Uponor PEX (whether AquaPEX or HePEX). PEX copper crimp rings are compatible with SDR-9 PEX tubing, which is the US standard for PEX pipes. All major brands of PEX, including Uponor, Watts, Zurn, Nibco, Everhot, etc. - are in compliance with the SDR-9 and therefore can be used with crimp rings. Note that some manufacturers may require the use of their proprietary system (such as Uponor's Expansion method) in order to be covered by the warranty.
