Brazetek Water to Air Heat Exchangers
PexUniverse.com offers a complete selection of Brazetek Water To Air Heat Exchanger models for residential and light commercial heating and cooling applications, such as:
Forced Air Heating & Cooling;
Outdoor Wood Boilers, Furnaces, Stoves;
De-humidification;
and other liquid to air and air to liquid heat transfer applications.
All Brazetek heat exchangers feature seamless copper tube design, a sturdy 18-gauge galvanized steel housing and high performance aluminum fins designed to maximize heat transfer properties and minimize pressure drop.
Installing a Y-strainer on inlet connection of the water to air heat exchanger is highly recommended to reduce scale build-up and maintenance.
1" sweat copper inlet/outlet connections are standard on all models.
Water to Air Heat Exchanger Sizing:
See PDF file on product page for all unit dimensions and specifications.
The size of the air to water heat exchanger, such as 16x18 model represents the width and the height of the finned area. The actual unit's dimensions (top to bottom & side to side) are larger due to casing as shown on drawing . If installing in a plenum, the plenum size has to be larger than the heat exchanger to accommodate it.
Other features:
Each water to air heat exchanger has 2 or 3 (depending on the model) round holes on the bottom of the casing, which can be used to drain condensate in cooling and dehumidification applications. If not used, they can be sealed off with regular HVAC tape.
Maintenance:
Brazetek Air to Water Heat Exchangers are virtually maintenance-free. To prevent internal clogging and residue build-up, a regular brass or bronze Y-strainer can be installed at the inlet, such as the Matco-Norca's #145T05. If using for dehumidification or cooling purposes, the best way to prevent growth of mold on the fins is to install a UV Air & Surface Disinfection System, such as the one from Honeywell (see Honeywell UV Air Treatment Systems category).
