PEX Stop Valves
PEX Stop Valves are also known as PEX Outlet Valves and serve the purpose of shutting off the water supply lines where they stub out of the walls (under sinks and other plumbing fixtures). Available in Angle or Straight versions. For professionally looking appearance, PEX stop valves should be purchased with escutcheons that cover pipes which stub out from the walls.
Q: Which type do i need: Angle or Straight?
A: If PEX tubing stubs out the wall, you will need an Angle stop valve, to reverse the flow direction upwards from horizontal. If your tubing stubs out of the floor, you will need the Straight Valves, to continue the vertical run of the tubing to the fixture.
Q: What is the connection type/size?
A: PEX outlet valves have a 1/2" PEX tubing inlet, which is of the same size as a 1/2" PEX crimp fitting. The connection type is crimp style (ASTM F1807), and requires the use of either clamp connection system or crimp connection system.
