Brass PEX Plugs are used to permanently or temporary cap off the ends of the PEX tubing for purposes such as pressure testing. They can also be used to prevent dirt, dust and debris from entering the open ends of PEX tubing during construction. These PEX fittings are compatible with crimp or clamp connection systems.
Typical testing pressure for PEX plumbing systems is at least 100 psi and can vary depending on local code requirements.
Typical testing pressure in PEX radiant heating systems can be from 50-100 psi, or x2 times the operating pressure (refer to local code requirements).
The use of water for pressure and leak testing purposes can be impractical, especially during winter season, when water can freeze inside the pipes.

Why don't we show the price?
While PexUniverse.com reserves the legal right set its own product pricing, some
manufacturers require internet retailers to display a price at or above
manufacturer's established MAP ("Minimum Advertised Price").
Since our price for this product is lower then MAP, the manufacturer does not allow
us to display our lowest price until you place the product in the shopping cart.
This allows us to continue offering our lowest prices while staying consistent with
product manufacturer's policy.
This process does not require you to purchase the product - it can be easily
removed from shopping cart if needed.
We understand that this is an inconvenience and are continually working with
manufacturers to educate them on how MAP affects our customers.
