A 3-way zone valve is a bypass version of a 2-way zone valve with 3 ports, commonly used with fan coils, heating units or other central heating equipment.
On Taco 560 series valves, bottom port is always a bypass inlet, which remains closed while equipment is in use. Supply inlet port is used for return line from a fan coil. When it is required to bypass the equipment, the supply port of the valve is closed (automatically or manually) and the water flows though the bypass port.
On Honeywell V8044/V4044 valves, bottom port is always a supply inlet. One of the side ports is a bypass, depending on the model.

Why don't we show the price?
While PexUniverse.com reserves the legal right set its own product pricing, some
manufacturers require internet retailers to display a price at or above
manufacturer's established MAP ("Minimum Advertised Price").
Since our price for this product is lower then MAP, the manufacturer does not allow
us to display our lowest price until you place the product in the shopping cart.
This allows us to continue offering our lowest prices while staying consistent with
product manufacturer's policy.
This process does not require you to purchase the product - it can be easily
removed from shopping cart if needed.
We understand that this is an inconvenience and are continually working with
manufacturers to educate them on how MAP affects our customers.
